More OpenSpace orders for Danzer

Danzer Limited has completed its third job for Manchester construction firm Renaker Build.

We are now on-site and providing contractor accommodation for Renaker at the historic Wilburn Street Basin in Salford as they build phase one of a 500 unit residential scheme. Phase two of the scheme commences in August. Renaker Build is a rapidly growing Manchester based developer and they have chosen once again to invest in our quality welfare units to showcase their growing stature in the market place.

We are also working with Renaker Build on the 1 Water Street scheme off Regent Road in Manchester, a 28-storey residential building with 301 apartments. We are also supporting the team with 12 Open Space units to provide site accommodation and office space for staff and contractors at its Mackintosh Mills development on Cambridge Street near Manchester’s Oxford Road Station. This prestigious development has been awarded £20m Build to Rent funding by the Government and will deliver 282 homes close the City Centre.

Commenting on the Wilburn Street Basin instruction Danzer Director Helen Scott said: “The increase in UK residential development and in particular the drive to deliver more homes to rent is certainly evidenced in the strength of our order book with many clients like Renakar regularly commissioning our units for their schemes.

“OpenSpace is our robust and secure anti-vandal steel product and it is manufactured by Danzer right here in the UK. Having control of the production means we not only only create local jobs but means we can guarantee quality, production and delivery times which provides reassurance to clients who need to know we can move swiftly to provide accommodation as and when they need it on sites right across the UK.”

OpenSpace is flexible, expandable, linkable and once manufactured can be installed by our specialist site teams within a matter of days. It is rapidly becoming the first choice of construction firm for providing high quality welfare units during build programmes.

Cold Formed Steel Construction

AV Danzer have introduced a system for modular buildings that exceeds the very highest industry standards.

LONGER LIFE
Our fully galvanized, cold-formed steel (CFS) construction system, comes with a 60 year structural warranty which promises longer life for modular buildings.

LOWER COST
Exceptional cost savings can be made as the materials can be up to 30% lighter.

We have introduced a new system of steel construction for our modular buildings to meet and exceed the very highest current industry standards.

Our fully galvanized, cold-formed steel (CFS) construction system, comes with a 60 year structural warranty which promises longer life for all modular buildings.

This new standard of manufacture can be used in the production of the largest modular buildings and, thanks to it’s improved weight-bearing capabilities, we can now design modular buildings up to 9 storeys in height. This ability will enable architects to make the very most of limited spaces by creating significant volumes of additional vertical space.

The CFS system also delivers exceptional cost savings as it can be up to 30% lighter than a traditional hot rolled steel structure. Alongside the significant cost saving the CFS also means significant material savings and consequently lower transportation costs, contributing towards the production of an even more sustainable building.

Our purchasing policy for steel sets out our commitment to only buy steel which is already at least 40% recycled and all of our steelwork is 100% recyclable at the end of life.

As always all of our buildings can be lined and clad in a huge range of materials to suit all individual specifications and designs.

Our CFS modular buildings are truly versatile and can be tailored to meet any architects designs.

We also work closely with structural engineers to ensure that all of our buildings are produced as economical as possible and are quality assured to Eurocodes BS-EN 1993-1-3.
