AVDanzer Invests £250,000 at Langley Mill site
Nottingham modular building manufacturer AVDanzer is investing £250,000 in its site at Langley Mill following a record breaking year.
In January it will install new offices, built on site by the design and fabrication teams, to accommodate 14 office staff and provide welfare facilities for up to 50 of the production team.
The new modular building will comprise AVDanzer’s flagship OpenSpace product and replaces the existing building which is no longer fit for purpose. It includes a kitchen, self-service canteen and relaxation area as well as board and meeting rooms and a first aid room. The building will also be slightly re-sited to create a new carpark area for staff and visitors. A range of environmentally friendly features such as PIR lighting and rain water harvesting will be included as well as high levels of insulation and heating.
Across the site AVDanzer is also investing in its production facilities including a new steel press and guillotine which will continue to improve efficiencies in the manufacturing process. There will also be general maintenance and refurbishment works to all areas of the site including the panel shop and stores and new toilet facilities.
The company, which manufactures modular buildings and hires site accommodation units, underwent a re-brand earlier this year to bring together its hire and manufacturing businesses. With a combined turnover in excess of £11m AVDanzer has enjoyed rapid growth in the last two years and now employs 76 staff across three sites in the Midlands, Manchester and Essex.
Commenting on the investment, AVDanzer Director Helen Scott said: “We started our manufacturing operation at Langley Mill in 1995 and have now totally outgrown the offices which are also coming to the end of their useful life. This investment will leave us well positioned to build on the success of recent years and it is great to be able to commission our own product to create a building which will comfortably see us through the next 20 years or more.”
