AV Group has recently installed eighteen 9.7 x 3m OpenSpace modules to create the on-site offices and welfare accommodation for Wates Construction’s multi-million pound mixed-use scheme at Red Rock in Stockport.
This flagship project is the latest in a series of contracts we have delivered for Wates on its many schemes across the country. The units were all newly built by our manufacturing arm Danzer Limited and represent an investment in our hire fleet of £200,000.
Now installed on-site they have been triple stacked 6x6x6 linked with external staircases. Our highly experienced installation team of Andrew Little and Josh Berry were supported on this occasion by specialist sub-contractor Alex Pattinson. The delivery took place over 2 days with the full installation and fit-out complete within just 5 days of delivery.
Built on the site of the current Bridgefield Street Car Park, Redrock Stockport will comprise a ten screen cinema, a new 340 space multi storey car park, restaurants, café bars and retail units totaling over 41,500 sq. ft. with an estimated investment of £45 million. With significant new urban realm improvements connecting the development with the wider town centre, Redrock will be a catalyst for a bright new future for Stockport.
This is one of many construction jobs where we have provided support for Wates and it comes after they were appointed on a two-stage design and build contract following a competitive tender process through the North West Construction Hub.
Redrock Stockport is a key part of investing in Stockport the Council’s investment and growth programme that will see multi million pounds invested in the borough over the next 10 years.
The development is planned to open in Spring 2017.
