BAM are one of the UK’s leading construction companies.
For BAM, the development of the university of Manchester project, one of their largest contracts in the North West, required new ideas for site accommodation.
Working closely with the BAM team, AV were able to offer fresh and new ideas incorporating specific and cost effective requirements, including double glazing, category 2 lighting and a flat steel exterior.
In view of the lack of space on site, we were able to offer our new triple stack, butt-linking system, with the option of going 4 high for future contracts, thus accommodating over 300 personnel.
Delivery and installation of over 30 units was completed within 48 hours, with Health and Safety never being comprised.
A sophisticated sales suite to demonstrate the high standard of apartment on offer by Miller Homes at their Derby site was provided by Danzer Ltd.
A 2 slice 70m2 modular building finished with a textured coating in Miller Homes choice of colour was installed. The building included UPVC low emission, toughened, double glazed windows and French doors all fully compliant with Building Regulations and DDA.
The interior of the building was finished in plasterboard left for Millers to finish as required. Once on site the unit was fitted out with a sales area and mock apartment to allow clients to see and experience the quality of the Miller Homes product.
As an additional security measure all windows and doors were fitted with electronically controlled steel roller shutters.
When the construction division of Urban Splash – BUILD, wanted high quality durable and flexible offices for their development at Leeds, they turned to Danzer Ltd.
BUILD’s requirements included a large open plan office, toilet and shower facilities and a conference suite. BUILD specified light airy accommodation with simple lines.
The building supplied by Danzer provided just that. Comprising 7 modules of 7500mm x 3000mm with 2400mm ceiling height the building met BUILD’s needs exactly and was manufactured, delivered and completed within 8 weeks.
The exterior was finished in BUILD blue with large painted, timber framed, double glazed windows and entrance door which also incorporated decorative side panels to maximise light in the entrance lobby.
A simple black and white scheme was adopted for the interior giving a clean, professional and easy to maintain finish to the whole building.
Having already taken delivery of an office for their project at Leeds BUILD knew exactly where to go for accommodation for their prestigious Park Hill, Sheffield project, Danzer Ltd.
A larger building was required for this huge development, 16m x 16m end linked modular building with large open plan office, wc and shower facilities, 3 meeting rooms and a kitchen with ‘break out’ area was provided. Again the project was manufactured, delivered and installed within 8 weeks.
BUILD blue plastisol was used on the exterior coupled with large 1800mm x 1800mm and 900mm x 1500mm double glazed windows to give excellent light levels as well as impressive appearance. The effective black and white theme was repeated in the interior with triple glazed roof lights allowing even more light to flood the work space.
To facilitate the desk layout 3 part telephone and IT trunking as well as floor sockets were fitted to the work areas with high frequency T5 cat 2 lighting.
This high tech, impressive building complemented perfectly the retro feel of the Park Hill Development, the largest listed building in England.
AV Rentacabin has provided solutions for Eric Wright Construction and Civil Engineering on many occasions but the Burnley Lift project presented a new challenge.
A complex to include offices for 10 people, 20 person meeting room, canteen facilities for 72 people and a drying area was needed but taking the smallest possible space whilst keeping to a single storey.
Initially a modular solution was discussed however this was too expensive.AV Group suggested using AV Rentacabin anti-vandal steel units with their new ‘Butt Linking’ system. ‘Butt Linking’ allows units to be pushed up against each other, they are then bolted together thus removing the need for link-ways and keeping the ground area to a minimum.
The units were supplied fully fitted and painted to Eric Wright Construction livery.
AV Rentacabin’s fleet of lorry mounted crane vehicles took care of delivery and erection with additional labour provided to oversee the linking. The units were delivered, linked and, by taking advantage of AV Groups connection service, connected in one day.
When Gleeson Construction Services won the Edmonton Green redevelopment project they needed extensive site accommodation incorporating office and welfare facilities that reflected Gleeson’s corporate image but all within a budget.
The AV Rentacabin range handled this with ease providing a comprehensive and cost effective solution.
Brand new 32ft x 10ft steel anti-vandal units were double stacked and linked using steel link-ways. The units incorporated conference rooms, offices, Kitchens, canteens, drying rooms, training area as well as ladies and gents toilets. Staircases were fixed to give access to the first floor.
All units were liveried in Gleeson’s corporate colours and in line with their site image.
Delivery took place over 2 days with units being sited by AV Group’s own fleet of wagons in conjunction with a mobile crane. Health and Safety remains a major consideration for both AV Group and Gleeson Construction. As AV Group has a full time Health & Safety manager method statements and Risk assessments were not a problem and all were supplied to Gleeson construction in advance of the installation.
