24 hr installation for Eric Wright Group by for AV team

We pulled out all the stops to get our latest rental project installed and functioning in just one day!
We were asked by Eric Wright Group to provide site accommodation facilities for two major care homes and retirement villages in Stoke-on-Trent to which they have been appointed lead contractor for the Sapphire consortium. The retirement villages are being developed at:

  • Holdcroft Fields, Holdcroft Road, Abbey Hulton
  • The Former Brookwood Home and Blurton Farm Depot, Consett Road, Blurton
A third village is also being developed as part of the scheme at The former Westcliffe Hospital, Turnhurst Road, Chell.

Together the developments will provide 390 extra care apartments over the next three years in the biggest scheme of its kind to ever be developed in Stoke-on-Trent.

Luckily the weather was on our side on the day of delivery for the new build units for Holdcroft Fields and the installation went pretty smoothly, but putting twelve 9.6m x 3m cabins in place in such a short space of time is no mean feat!

We relied on the experience of our delivery partners David Watson Transport to move the units in good time from our production site in Nottingham. Once at site Steve Sheehan of Cains Haulage oversaw all of the complex lifting which enabled us to meet the client’s exacting deadline in good time.

The 6 on 6 set up saw us utilize both our OpenSpace product alongside standard units, linked with external staircases. The commission featured up graded insulation levels, UPVC double glazing, PIR lighting controls, timer controlled heating and water saving push taps to wash basins.

We also refreshed existing stock to provide the same configuration at the second development site at Blurton. All units were finished to feature Eric Wright Group’s distinctive black and orange branding.

The new units were built by our production team at AV Danzer and leased to Eric Wright Group and installed by AV Group.
