Amazing photos show scale of RHS Worsley Hall project
These superb drone pictures show the scale of the Royal Horticultural Society’s 62 hectare (154 acre) garden at Worsley New Hall in Salford. Our ten cabins are providing welfare accommodation to BAM’s team which is constructing the lake and visitor centre at the RHS’s fifth gardens in the UK. As well as proudly flying our colours on the roof of the units we have installed a viewing platform which gives visitors superb views right across the huge site.
BAM’s multi-million pound project includes the construction of a new Welcome Building comprising of an arrivals hall, learning facilities, café, plant centre and gift shop, together with associated hard and soft landscaping and a new 4,750 sqm lake.
The creation of RHS Worsley is currently the largest gardening project in Europe and it will be the Society’s first new garden in 17 years. It is anticipated that it will attract up to 700,000 visitors per year by its 10th year of opening.
The new gardens are due to open to the public in 2020.
