We have made a number of new appointments and internal promotions recently to strengthen and support the team right across the country following an extremely first quarter of the year.
Tim Comley joins us from pre-owned building specialist Ashby and Croft in the role of Business Development Manager and is actively bringing new leads and opportunities to help grow the business. Tim is working to identify opportunities with Local Authorities for new education schemes, healthcare developments, welfare accommodation and offices.
Commenting on joining AVDanzer Tim said: “I’ve been working in the industry for over 17 years and have a strong network of contacts which I am introducing to the company. We are already seeing an increase in enquiries and orders for our Linkpak products as well as a significant lift on enquiries for steel Open Space products too.”
From Tim’s base in Oxford he will be covering the country meeting new clients and strengthening our order book further.
The Health and Safety team has also seen a number of changes as we have bid farewell to our Health and Safety Officer James Kelly who has been contracted to work overseas. We wish James all the best and are delighted to have promoted Dan Heenan internally to fill the position.
Like many of our staff Dan has been with us since leaving education. He joined us at Langley Mill in 2006 as a labourer so knows us and our rigorous systems and procedures well. Having trained under James, Dan has the benefit of understanding the day to day workings of the business as well as coming to the role with a solid understanding of health and safety processes. Dan has now passed his NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and is about to embark on the NEBOSH Construction qualification.
Commenting on his new role Dan said: “We are working closely with the H&S committee, which involves people from all areas of the businesses, to ensure we have in place the most robust procedures possible and that these are adhered to at all times. Having spent a number of years in a hands-on production role I have a good insight into our day-to-day working practices and how these can be continually improved to ensure we meet and exceed industry standards.”
Amy Wilson has also joined the team at Langley Mill as Production and Pricing Administrator and is helping us with order processing and office administration.
And we have added two further member to our CAD team Chris Selfe and Kieran Bradshaw have joined us and will work alongside Chris Keen to create our project plans and drawings.
The recent appointments brings the AVDanzer team to over 100 and we are still looking to expand further with a new position to fill for the role of assistant estimator.
